George Wilkinson of Burnley, Britain's oldest bakeware manufacturer, founded in 1931 required a new logo and brand identity to reflect the heritage and craftsmanship of the business. The objective was to build a fresh new look that was suitable for today's market, whilst reminding people of the George Wilkinson heritage and pedigree. A timeless design was required.
Also, the company had been using the Union Jack for many years, but for us we wanted George Wilkinson to have some ownership of the flag as it's common place for many British manufacturers. To build the flag out of the product was an idea that worked extremely well as it became instantly recognisable as their brand. It also worked well across much of their marketing collateral and exhibition material.
